 Monday, March 30, 2026

10:08 am – call received regarding a Chevy truck heading north on State Route 800 driving at a high rate of speed with a child bouncing around in the back seat. Officer is aware of the situation.

11:16 am – caller from East Main Street requesting help getting keys out of car trunk.

1:39 pm – The Ohio State Highway Patrol called reporting two motorcyclists driving recklessly and racing each other south of town on State Route 800.

2:29 pm – caller from Bethesda Street believes the garage was broken into and would like an officer to check it out.

5:57 pm – fight reported at high school track meet. Two females arguing and about to turn physical. Both parties separated.

9:07 pm – caller reporting animal neglect. Caller acknowledged they were calling from Nebraska and called the wrong number.

11:07 pm – warrant served on Mackey Drive by officers.  

Tuesday, March 31, 2026

1:07 am – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

9:20 am – caller wants to know why fiancé was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice. Dispatcher gave message to the arresting officer.

2:34 pm – officer on West Church Street for a traffic stop.

2:51 pm – caller from Ohio Street needs assistance with a vehicle lockout.

3:03 pm – caller reports a female has fallen in front of Ohio Hills Medical Center.

4:11 pm – caller wants to know if the police were at her house last night. They were not.

5:19 pm – caller from Mackey Drive reports a neighbor smoking in the apartment. Dispatcher responded it is a management issue.

6:47 pm – loose dogs reported. Caller advises mother-in-law will be there to put them in.

9:13 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue advising the odor of smoke from the area of the apple orchard at Fairmont Avenue.

11:49 pm – dispatcher noticed a truck on village cameras on Bond Avenue barely moving. Officer had negative contact with the truck.

Wednesday, April 1, 2026

8:00 am – Party on station needing to reach son that is working on the walking trail tunnel. His daughter was in an automobile accident.

10:42 am – female on station with a complaint for a West Leatherwood, Pike Street location.

11:01 am – staff member at the Elementary School reporting a sound of a possible gun shot. A person reported to the officer that it was a tire blowing out on a trailer at the alley on North Chestnut Street.

11:59 am – caller from Mackey Drive reports a plastic smell coming from the apartment next door. She would like an officer to investigate.

2:43 pm –caller from East Main Street states that her husband’s ex-wife has entered the residence. The ex-wife came to take her husband’s children and will not leave the house.

3:02 pm -caller reports cattle out on Mt. Olivett Road near Mulberry Street.

3:10 pm – officer on West Church Street near Broadway Steet for a traffic stop. Warning issued.

3:47 pm – call from a heating and cooling company about a house on Johnson Ridge Road in Somerset Twp. The employee had an appointment scheduled and no one has answered the door or phone over the last twelve days. The employee is concerned about the resident. Dispatcher called 911 alerting them of the situation.

3:48 pm – male caller from Washington Street would like a wellness check on his child.

4:10 pm – officer on Leatherwood Road with a follow up investigation.

4:13 pm – call received about a cow loose on Mt. Olivett Road.

4:15 pm – caller reports the owner of the cow showed up and is trying to corral the cow.  

2:54 pm – female on station to talk to officer.

5:53 pm – caller from Washington Street regarding her child’s father. The child wants to leave but the father won’t allow it.

6:39 pm – officer on East Church Street near water office lot for a traffic stop.

7:50 pm – officer on East Main Street near the Dairy Queen for a traffic stop.

Thursday, April 2, 2026

2:38 am – caller from North Lincoln Avenue reports a person is wandering around trying to gain entry to cars.

9:06 am – caller from South Broadway Street reports there is a man described as a “Mexican” knocking on the door. Caller would like the man to leave.

10:35 am – dispatch received a call about a disabled semi-truck on State Route 800 north of town. Officers enroute.

10:42 am – employee reports that another employee fell outside yesterday and was taken by the EMS to the hospital. The car remains parked in the handicap space. It will be moved tomorrow.

11:49 am – caller from Mackey Drive reporting her ex-boyfriend is sending threating letters. Caller says he has no means of transportation and would like an officer to stop and address the issue.

12:20 pm – caller reports a single vehicle sheared an AEP pole on North Chestnut Street opposite Euclid. No injuries reported.

1:31 pm – male on station reporting a cell phone was stolen from his truck.

1:36 pm – caller from North Chestnut Street reports someone running through his yard.

2:20 pm – male and female on station regarding being scammed about puppies.

5:16 pm – caller from North Chestnut Street reports damage to his yard and that of his neighbor. Person asks to speak with an officer.

5:45 pm – group of juveniles at the T-ball field area of Memorial Park are smoking vapes.

6:43 pm – caller wants to talk to an officer about problems with another person. Caller indicates they talked to someone earlier. Harassment continues.

8:52 pm – officer on East Main Street near the Pit Stop for a traffic stop.

9:16 pm – caller from High Street reporting a fight. Caller can hear screaming and arguing going on but does not know if it is physical or just verbal. Officer reported nothing physical, just verbal. Both parties separated for the night.

9:33 pm – caller wants to press charges for harassment/stalking. Caller will visit station to file a report and to talk with officer.

10:27 pm – caller from North Broadway Street reports the door is ajar on a nearby house that is currently for sale. Caller can hear people inside the upstairs of the house. Officer reports he did not find anyone inside the structure.

10:45 pm – officer on North Gardner Street for a parked vehicle obstructing the alleyway. Officer issued a parking violation.

10:54 pm – traffic stop. Warning issued for headlight out.

11:37 pm – officer on North Chestnut Street for a traffic stop. Marijuana paraphernalia seized.

Friday, April 3, 2026

12:34 am – officer on East Main Street near the BellStores for a traffic stop. Warning issued.

2:20 am – officer was flagged down on the Bethesda Road by an individual reporting a deer was struck.

3:29 am – caller from High Street reports subjects going through vehicles. It looks like two younger kids. Caller also reported they were pulling things out of his yard and jumping up on the roof of the residence. Officer will continue to patrol the area. Officer had negative contact with the individuals.

4:45 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

5:47 am – officer on East Main Street/Henderson Street for a traffic stop.

 8:14 am – caller asks if the used appliance store (on N. Gardner) was open. Advised the business is no more.

10:07 am – caller on South Broadway Street states someone has been calling and knocking repeatedly on the door all morning.  This has been going on since April 1. Officer noted negative contact with anyone but will patrol the area.

10:37 am – officer on Railroad Street near the Depot for a traffic stop.

12:29 pm – caller stating that someone tried to scam her over the phone. A man on the phone claimed that he was her son and was injured in an automobile accident he caused. He asked her to send $15,000 to hire a lawyer. She realized it was a scam.

12:47 pm – officer on North Street regarding two males yelling at each other. Officer reported that everything is fine and no one is upset.

1:02 pm – caller reports a car on East Main Street has jumped the curb into a parking lot.

1:17 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

2:42 pm – caller from West Church Street reporting that there is a car parked illegally on the street.

2:49 pm – caller report seeing a dead cat in the Rotary Lake at Memorial Park.

2:55 pm – complaint call received about a smell.

6:00 pm – person on station regarding a parked car on her property. The issue may be that one tire is in the adjacent alley. Car will be moved.

6:11 pm – received a call from a “payphone number”. Male caller asks if it is okay if a violent consensual sex act took place. When asked where the call originated, the caller hung up.  

6:27 pm – caller reports a reckless driver on the east end of town. Officer had negative contact with the vehicle.

8:08 pm – caller states neighbors to the rear of her house are possibly trying to intimidate her. It could be a race issue. This has been going on for five to six years. She asks if an officer would talk to them. Dispatcher responded that we can’t because nothing illegal has taken place. Extra patrols planned.

8:52 pm – officer on East Main Street in a traffic stop.

9:35 pm – person on West Church Street regarding a vehicle parked in front of the neighbor’s driveway.

10:30 pm – officer on North State Route 800 for a traffic stop.

10:38 pm – person called stating that an ex-employee told some people that he knows where someone lives and will kill them.

Saturday, April 4, 2026

12:59 am – officer on Morgantown Avenue and Shamrock Drive for a traffic stop.

2:51 am – officer on South Chestnut Street for a traffic stop.

5:01 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

10:41 am – officer assisting Ohio State Highway Patrol regarding a male suspect on the run. The suspect may have a gun.

12:10 pm –caller reports a certain person has been driving without a driver’s license. Dispatch will inform officer of the situation.

5:24 pm – Ohio State Highway Patrol advises there will be a vehicle traveling down South 16 Road to Hall Boston Road. The driver has no driver’s license. Officer had negative contact with the vehicle.

5:56 pm – caller from West Main Street reports a silver truck almost struck her near Dominos, corner of Main and Broadway. The driver did a U-turn and about t-boned the vehicle.

7:50 pm – Columbus Police Department called and advising they received a call from Lifeline 988 suicide crisis hotline from a male. The person is in Barnesville, and he has firearms and crossbows. Officer initiated welfare check. All is reported okay.

8:46 pm – officer on east State Route 147 for a traffic stop.

8:56 pm – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

9:16 pm – officer on South Lincoln Avenue for a traffic stop.

12:28 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

12:33 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

1:34 am – officer on an alley and Church Street for a traffic stop.

2:01 am – officer on East Main Street for a traffic stop.

2:28 am – officer on East Church Street for a traffic stop.

6:26 am – officer on East Main Street investigating a complaint about a male in a parked red/white truck over the past three hours. Officer states the male is now heading home.

11:15 am – caller from North Chestnut Street report a possible sink hole on the road near the Memorial Park entrance. Officer investigated and, yes, there is a sink hole about three feet deep Street department notified.

12:27 pm – parking complaint on West Church Street.
