James “Jim” Edward Palmer Sr.

James “Jim” Edward Palmer Sr., 84, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at his home. He was born May 8, 1941, in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a son of the late Ralph William Palmer and Edna May Palmer.

Jim was a retired diesel mechanic for Mack Trucks. He was a Presbyterian by faith and proudly served in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Franklin Palmer and Ralph W. Palmer Jr., sisters, Connie Conner, Carol Glass and Ethel McFarland; and a daughter in law, Kim Palmer.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lou Hines Palmer, three sons, James Palmer Jr., Harold Palmer and Andy (Tammy) Palmer; two grandchildren, Justin and Brittany Palmer; two great grandchildren, Meara Lynn Palmer and Zaiden Alexander Palmer; and a sister, Shirley Monroe.

As per his wishes, no visitation or funeral services are planned.
