Garvin Nominated for Health Care Worker of the Year

BARNESVILLE – Kelsay Garvin FNP-BC, Nurse Practitioner at WVU Medicine/ Barnesville Hospital has been nominated for 2026 Ohio Hospital Assoiation Health Care Worker of the Year.
Kelsay serves a rural population with dedication and compassion. She cares for a wide range of patients – from adolescents to older adults – addressing everything from developmental disabilities and mental health to chronic disease management and preventative health maintenance. No matter the complexity of patients’ conditions, Garvin remains committed to ensuring they feel informed, supported and empowered in their care. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Garvin has a passion for education. She strives to help her patients understand their diagnoses, medications, testing and treatment options so they can take an active role in improving their health.
The Health Care Worker of the Year will be announced at the 111th OHA Annual Meeting and Education Summit, May 19-21 at the Hyatt Regency, Columbus.
