Shamrocks Blank Garaway

Barnesville increased it winning streak to 7 games in a row Saturday with a shutout of the Garaway Pirates at Sugarcreek 3-0.

Blake Burkhart turned in a strong pitching performance today going 6 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win. He allowed only four hits, striking out four and walking two.

Parker Sobutka stepped up in the final frame pitching 2/3 of an inning to preserve the shutout and earn a save. He struck out two and walked one.

Barnesville was led at the plate by Gunner Dudzik, Jack Anderson, Keegan Martin, and Braylon Lucas, collecting one hit apiece.

Aidan Caldwell and Blake Burkhart contributed a RBI.

The 7-1 Shamrocks return to action at home Monday at 5 p.m. hosting the Cambridge Bobcats.

Junior Varsity Add Two Victories

The JV Rocks took on Cambridge at home Friday night logging a decisive 8-2 win and raising their season record to 4-3.

On Saturday as part a varsity-junior varsity doubleheader, the Shamrocks JV team defeated Garaway, 6-5.

The victory raises their season record to 5-3. They return to action Monday at Cambridge. The first pitch is at  5 p.m.
