Ohio Natural Energy Institute to Partner with OVAC for STEM Trivia Challenge

PATASKALA, OH – The Ohio Natural Energy Institute (ONEi) is proud to continue its partnership with the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC) to present the second edition of the “OVAC High School STEM Trivia Challenge powered by the Ohio Natural Energy Institute.”
This fun and engaging competition aims to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. The STEM Trivia Challenge will be presented to classrooms both in-person and virtually, providing flexibility for educators and students. In-person sessions include visits from ONEi representatives, fostering a deeper connection between students and the energy industry. “We’re proud to continue our partnership with the OVAC on the STEM Trivia Challenge,” said Bruce Tague, Executive Director of the Ohio Natural Energy Institute.
“It’s a great opportunity to connect with the next generation of the energy industry and expose students to potential STEM career paths.” The challenge covers topics like math and science, while also teaching students about the oil and gas industry.
“The OVAC is thankful for ONEi’s commitment to supporting STEM education,” said OVAC Executive Director, Dirk DeCoy. “We are thrilled to continue working in partnership to provide students with opportunities outside of sports.”
The top-performing student at the end of the school year will receive a $1,500 educational scholarship and the school with the highest percentage of participating students will receive a $1,500 grant to support future STEM initiatives, funded by the Ohio Natural Energy Foundation.
ONEi is proud to reaffirm a commitment to not only education, but to providing STEM opportunities in and across the Ohio Valley.
