___________
The Village of Barnesville is in the design stage for a waterline extension from the I-70 and SR 800 interchange to serve the areas of Hendrysburg, Mt. Olivett Road and the Village of Fairview.
We are reaching out to residents and businesses along the proposed waterline corridor to gauge interest in connection to the waterline. The following questions will help us during the design phase of the project. If you could take a few minutes to respond it would be greatly appreciated.
What type of connection is your property? Residential ______; Business ________ (check one)
Are you interested in connecting to the proposed waterline extension? ________ (yes/no)
Tap Fee = $0.00 if a temporary easement is provided to the Village of Barnesville by the property owner and connection to the system is made at the time of initial system construction. The easement is needed to allow project financing to include the cost of the meter pit, water meter, and service line from the street to the building.
If an easement is not provided at the time of construction or connection is not made at time of initial construction, the property owner will be responsible for the current tap fee of $3,300 to cover the cost of the meter pit, water meter. The service line from the street and connection to the home is not included in the tap fee and is an additional cost for the property owner. Tap fees are subject to change.
Construction is anticipated to begin mid-2026.
If you are interested in connecting to this public water system, please provide your name, address, phone number and email address for future contact. This information will be used for the design and easement processes.
