Council Candidate – Lindsay Dowdle

Council candidate Lindsay Dowdle provided the following information:

I was born and raised in Cadiz and a 2016 graduate of Harrison Central High School. I have a Bachelor of Science in public relations from West Liberty University. I reside in Barnesville with my two golden retrievers. I have a background in public relations and marketing. I currently work for West Virginia University Medicine Barnesville Hospital and Harrison Community Hospital as the marketing and communications strategist and have worked in this role for the last five years.

I want to serve on village council for two main reasons: transparency and investment in the community. Even though I may be a transplant to Barnesville, my heart is truly here. I’m devoted to this community and want to play a part in helping it grow and thrive for the future. I believe transparency is one of the most important parts of serving a community.

Open and honest communication builds trust, and I want people to feel informed, not just about what is happening but also why it’s happening. My hope is to create an environment where the community feels included and connected through clear communication.
