Council Candidate – Leslie Tickhill
Council candidate Leslie Tickhill provided the following information:
I was born in Barnesville Hospital and have lived here all my life. I graduated from Barnesville High School in 1971, and then attended Ohio University and graduated in 1985. I have raised my family here and have worked at and owned businesses in Barnesville: Barnesville Lumber & Supply, Village Lumber & Supply, VL&S Trucking Incorporated, Home Construction and Pine Lane Apartments.
I want to continue to serve on council because my father and mother, Walter and Helen Tickhill, taught me to give back to the community. They were instrumental in the work at the Depot and the Youth Center.
We are now working to arrange a lease signing opportunity for all property owners in Barnesville, as we did in 2013.
I have been on council for 12 years, and we have accomplished many great things for the village. Just a few things include North Industrial Park (JEDD I), East Industrial Park (JEDD II), Water Line to Interstate 70 with the water machine, water sales for drilling, new pool and playground at the park, trails at the park, sidewalk program, source protection plan, a new larger water line from Slope Creek Reservoir to the water treatment plant and are extending a new water line to Hendrysburg and Fairview.
I want to continue to serve the Village of Barnesville, and I am asking for your vote.
