Shamrock CC Runners Excelled at Championships: Seniors Recognized
The BHS Cross Country team competed at the Buckeye 8/Ohio Valley Cross Country League (OVCCL) Championship Meets held on Saturday, October 11, at Buckeye Local. According to Assistant CC Coach Melissa Dodd, most runners improved their times since running this same course in August. Special congratulations to Caleb Bush. Coach Dodd shared that Caleb finished under 30 minutes and improved by 10 minutes from his August time.
Individual Medalists include:
- Addy Reed — 15th place in Buckeye 8
- Jayden Barker — 23rd place in OVCCL
- Parker Nickel — 25th place in OVCCL, 15th place in Buckeye 8
- Bryar Shilling — 23rd place in OVCCL, 13th place in Buckeye 8
- Natalie Showalter — 15th place in OVCCL, 12th place in Buckeye 8
Due to homecoming, Natalie Showalter was the only runner present for the awards presentation and photos.
Traditionally, Senior Recognition occurs before the meet and includes senior runners from the participating OVCCL teams. This year, Barnesville seniors Landon Harris and Peyton Steed were recognized.
