Barnesville Chamber Welcomes New Board Member Dr. Zachary Leach

The Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes Dr. Zachary Leach, of the Barnesville Vision Center, to the board.
Born in Columbus, Leach has lived in Barnesville most of his life, the hometown of his dad’s family. The only time he has lived away was when he went away for school.
Leach said he’s a second generation in the family eye care practice, and his mom has been a member of the chamber since opening the practice in 2003.
As a business owner who is in the process of erecting a new building office building on an open North Chestnut Street lot, he feels being on the chamber board will allow him to better the community and help other businesses.
“I’d like to grow this community and bring more things to Barnesville,” he said, “because the more services we can provide as a whole helps the community, and it helps attract more businesses and helps us grow.”
Leach is active in the planned Barnesville Main Street initiative, part of the National Main Street program, through the statewide group, Heritage Ohio .
Leach said he loves Barnesville because it is home.
Leach is joining the board along with Blue Moon Tavern and Avenues of Barnesville owner Susan Lapham.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Susan and Zack to the board,” director Jill Hissom said. “Both bring incredible experience, business insight and fresh ideas to the table. Their enthusiasm and vision will be a great asset as we continue to grow and move our organization forward.”
Other current Chamber board members are John Rataiczak, president; Jake Hershberger, Larissa Jones, Christopher Baker and Kyle Wojtasek.
