Annabelle Georgia Brokaw
Annabelle G Brokaw, 85, of Flushing, died October 27, 2025 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.
She was born outside of Holloway, Ohio, in a small house in back of the reservoir, a daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Frances Luella Gibbs Nester. She was a Christian by faith and an active, 15+ years member of the former Flushing Area Ruritan Club and the Flushing Senior Center until 2020.
Annabelle attended Holloway School until she met and married Kenneth W. Brokaw. She was a homemaker, enjoyed making pies, working crossword puzzles, watching Ohio State Football, all horse races, especially the Kentucky Derby, and taking pictures.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Kenneth W. Brokaw, Sr. and her son, Kevin Brokaw; brothers John, Van, and Ralph Nester: sisters Florence Johnson, Luella Holloway, Shirley Adams and Gloria Devoy. Surviving are two sons, Ken Brokaw Jr. and Kirk Brokaw; one daughter, Kathy (Jay) Gummere, all of Flushing; seven Grandchildren, six Great Grandchildren, one step Great Grandchild.
Friends will be received at Warren Funeral Home, Flushing, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00pm with Pastor Al Hoder officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
