Western Belmont County excerpts from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Call Logs covering various dates from November 7 through November 12 are reported below.
November 7, 2025
10:00 am — Warren Township. A deputy carried out an eviction. Child Protective Services was contacted since a minor was involved.
2:28 pm — Warren Township. Deputies served a warrant. A male was taken into custody and taken to jail.
8:02 pm — Belmont Morristown Rd, Belmont. A deputy responded to a business alarm drop. All doors were secure. It was confirmed that it was an accidental activation.
9:41 pm — Pineview Dr, Belmont. A deputy issued a warning for improper display.
November 8, 2025
8:55 am — Union Township. A caller reported that cattle were in the roadway and on his property. The caller attempted to contact the cattle owner with no success. A deputy responded but found no cows.
9:31 am — Flushing Township. A deputy returned a call about a scam. The caller reported someone called him saying they were with the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office. The caller continued that they said he needed to contact a bondsman for a warrant for missing jury duty. A picture of a fake warrant for missing jury duty was sent to him. The deputy advised never to give money over the phone.
11:30 am — Somerset Township. A deputy returned a woman’s call. The caller said she needed a lawyer before she talked to the police. The deputy asked if she was okay, and the caller gave the phone to the daughter. A call record was made.
7:17 pm — Smith Township. A deputy responded to a death at the address.
11:01 pm — Eastbound Interstate 70, Morristown. A deputy investigated an occupied disabled vehicle at mile marker 208. Everything was okay. The driver was pulled over to use the phone.
November 9, 2025
4:18 pm — Goshen Township. The caller wanted advice on a neighbor dispute. Her deceased father’s wife is permitted to live in the house, but the caller inherited the rest of the farm. The wife was allowing other people to enter the farm buildings without permission. While placing no trespassing signs, the wife confronted the caller and physically pushed her. Small physical altercations have happened before. The caller wanted the incident documented. She will be consulting with her attorney about obtaining a Civil Protection Order.
6:43 pm — Warren Township. The caller requested to talk to a deputy regarding his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend driving past his house. When a deputy called him back, he provided the caller with information on how to apply for a Civil Protection Order.
9:56 pm — Union Township. Deputies responded to a welfare check. The deputies checked the area in which the phone was pinging. There was no contact.
November 10, 2025
11:44 am — Virginia St, Bethesda. A deputy checked on a caller feeling depressed.
3:08 pm — Bel-Morr, Belmont Morristown Rd, Belmont. A deputy went to the gas station and informed a homeless man that the store did not want him out front and to move along.
3:17 pm — Smith Township. Deputies responded to a possible juvenile altercation. Upon arrival, everything was found to be okay. Deputies spoke with the caller and found out this was a past event. The deputies advised the caller to report the incident properly through the school.
10:25 pm — Somerset Township. The caller stated that he had an ongoing problem with a vehicle driving recklessly up and down the roadway and using his driveway to turn around. The caller advised that he followed the driver. When the deputy responded, the caller stated that the car did not turn around on his property, and he did not follow them to their home as he had stated to Dispatch. The caller wanted it on file about the driver’s reckless driving past his house. The deputy advised the caller that this matter is something to be reported to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
November 11, 2025
12:09 am — Muskrat Rd, Barnesville. A female with a history of mental health issues was taken by a deputy for help.
3:29 pm — Clark St, Holloway. A deputy spoke to a person about a possible stolen furnace. There was no paperwork, so it is speculation for now.
3:31 pm — Hennebert Rd, Barnesville. The caller stated that he had tools stolen. There were no cameras and no serial numbers. The deputy advised setting up some cameras in the area.
6:42 pm — Barnesville-Bethesda Rd, Bethesda. A deputy responded to a caller who struck a deer and wanted a deer tag for it.
10:19 pm — Barnesville-Bethesda Rd, Bethesda. A deputy issued a warning for no headlights.
November 12, 2025
11:44 am — Redstone Rd, Jacobsburg. A case worker advised that a client told her that her mother and grandmother were denying her food and medication. The client also said that they had been physical with her in the past. Deputies investigated the complaint. The client had left before their arrival. Information was given to the fraud agent at Job and Family Services. The deputies made contact with the grandmother, and she will call when the client arrives at home.
7:03 pm — N Broadway St, Barnesville. Deputies went to serve a warrant. There was no contact with the subject. The mother stated that he lives in Rayland now.
11:09 pm — Kinney Rd, Beallsville. A deputy assisted the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office with locating a male having mental health issues. No contact was made.
