It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas at BHS

Placing a decorated Christmas tree in the Barnesville High School lobby has been a longstanding tradition. In fact, Davis Christmas Trees LLC has donated a tree since 1971. The Key Club purchased new lights and ornaments several years ago. Under the supervision of Instructional Aide Adrienne Burkhart and Custodian Bernard Saffell, students assisted in setting up the tree, stringing lights, and decorating it. Other students hung stockings and strung lights on the balcony railing.

Davis Christmas Trees LLC has been in business for 70 years. Bill Davis stated, “My dad and Grandpap started the business and I tagged along as a kid learning how to do things.” He continued, “The business has expanded to include grave blankets and pillows made by my wife. We also have a wreath machine.” Davis Christmas Trees LLC is located at 59115 Somerton Highway, Barnesville, Ohio.

With custodial staff, this Sophomore “crew” assisted with hauling, placing, and securing the tree. Pictured left to right: Xander Gallagher, Evan Wells, Braydon Moore, Devin McBride, and Gunner Dudzik. Photo provided by Adrienne Burkhart for Barnesville Key Club.
