Traffic Stop Results in Drug Arrest
FREEPORT – A routine traffic stop by a Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputy in Freeport on Monday led to the seizure of nearly 60 grams of suspected methamphetamine and less than one gram of suspected cocaine.
The driver, identified as Charles J. Hall of Belmont County, according to a press release by Harrison County Sheriff Mark Touville, was arrested and booked into the Harrison County Jail on felony charges of Aggravated Possession of Drugs and Tampering with Evidence as outlined by the Ohio Revised Code.

Touville said “this was outstanding police work. The deputy’s sharp observation skills and strict adherence to procedure resulted in removing a significant quantity of methamphetamine from our streets.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
