Pay Raises up for Review by Village Council
Ordinances for proposed annual pay raises for 2026 for the village administrator, employees, fire and assistant fire chiefs will be up for a first reading by Barnesville Village Council at Monday night’s meeting.
Posted on the village website, the salary of the village administrator will increase to $104,105, fire chief to $35,160 and assistant fire chief to $23,600. All other hourly village employees will see their wages go up by $2 an hour.
Also up for a first reading will be changes for the “per call rate” for fire department volunteers, starting wage schedules and 2026 annual appropriations.
The discussion regarding replacing the Women’s Club (Junior Women’s Club) Shelter House at Memorial Park is expected to continue as a holdover from the Nov. 24 meeting among other items.
