Ohio Valley Waste Systems Joins Barnesville Market

Ohio Valley Waste Systems, based in the Dilles Bottom community south of Shadyside officially entered the Barnesville market this past week when the firm assumed all routes of Pickens Hauling.

In an introductory letter to customers, the company indicated route dates would remain the same as would the current rate structure. While Pickens customers could make payments at the firm’ office on E. Church Street, in person payments will now be taken at Belmont Savings Bank.

The firm was founded more than 60 years ago, Ohio Valley Waste Systems, Inc. (OVWS) is a modern residential and commercial trash removal company serving Ohio and West Virginia customers. OVWS, which is licensed in both Ohio and West Virginia, is the combination of two formerly family-owned longtime established businesses now utilizing the latest in equipment and technology.

The company provides residential and commercial trash hauling rates to customers in Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson, and Monroe counties in Ohio and Ohio, Marshall and Brooke counties in West Virginia.

Although the introductory letter was unsigned, The Ohio Secretary of State’s Business Registration database indicates the company was incorporated in 2013 listing Dwayne Pielich of Shadyside as company agent.
