Kindness U Adds Final Touches
Kindness U President Peyton Steed and his family created the lighted arch leading down to the W. Main Street parking lot in Barnesville for the Christmas in the Ville festivities. Barnesville Area Chamber Director Jill Hissom stated, “Even at the last minute, I can always count on Peyton and the Kindness U organization whenever I request help.”
Kindness U is a community-minded club that utilizes kids of all ages to participate in volunteering. Lillian Ford started the club several years ago when she was in school. When Lillian graduated, Peyton Steed and his family took over. The club builds confidence, teamwork, and leadership qualities. “The club really gets people involved in the community, and it builds connections,” shared Steed. Projects that Kindness U has assisted with include Fun in the Ville events and the summer lunch program.
