Barnesville Resident Reaches Century Mark

Viola Gibbons, a regular at the Barnesville Senior Citizens Center and Silver Sneakers Exercise Class participant, marked her 100th Birthday this past week. Her Silver Sneakers exercise class friends feted her to a special birthday party last week while her family marked the occasion with a special party at the Somerton Fire Hall Sunday.

Silver Sneakers classes take place at Ferum Fitness at 130 East South Street, lower level.

Silver Sneakers is an exercise program designed specifically for older adults that is free to many individuals with a Medicare Advantage plan or Medigap. The program offers access to thousands of fitness centers nationwide, provides in-person workout classes or remote videos for all fitness levels.
