Terrence “Ike” Otto

Terrence “Ike”  Otto, 76, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at his home with family by his side.  Ike was born November 23, 1948 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late William and Esther Faye Otto. He graduated from Beallsville High School in 1968 and served in the United States Army in Germany from 1969 to 1971. He was a coal miner for 27 years and he also worked as a carpenter.  From a very young age, Ike loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and trapping. His favorite memories from his childhood were times spent along Captina Creek where he swam and fished in the Summer and ice skated in the Winter.

In addition to his parents, Ike was preceded in death by a sister, Valerie Otto Moore, also his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Frances McDougal. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Paula McDougal Otto; two sons, Kevin (Kelly) Otto of Mingo Junction and Jamie (Rhonda) Otto of Beallsville; seven grandchildren, Gwendolynn (Billy) Shriver, Weston, Brynlyn, Destin, Kenton, Kolton, and Kassidy Otto; three great-granddaughters, Bella, Rosy Lee, and Brittlyn; two brothers, Toby Otto of Beallsville and Tracey (Melissa) Otto of Armstrong Mills.

Honoring Ike’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Gas Cards, Inc., c/o Shirley Brown 48397 Keylor Hill Road, Woodsfield, Ohio  43793.
