Barnesville School Choirs Presented Winter Concert
On December 11, the Barnesville Performing Arts presented the first performance of the winter concert series in the BHS Auditorium. This event included the beginning choir, intermediate choir, and chamber choir. Mr Devin Blair directed the choirs.
The beginning choir sang:
- Jingle Bells, Rock by Sally Albrecht
- Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee
- Various Themes on Fa, La, La by Chuck Bridwell
The intermediate choir performed:
- Joy to the World by Isaac Watts
- My Favorite Things by Hammerstein
- We Need a Little Christmas by Mac Huff
The chamber choir sang:
- Carol of the Bells by Leontovich
- White Winter Hymnal by Fleet Foxes
- Auld Lang Syne by Robert Burns
- Happy Xmas (War is Over) by John Lennon
All the choirs took the stage for the finale with lighted candles. They performed Silent Night by Franz Gruber. The audience joined the choirs, singing the last verse together.
On December 16 at 7:00 pm, the Barnesville Performing Arts will present the second performance of the winter concert series in the BHS Auditorium. This performance will include selections played by the beginning band, intermediate band, and chamber band.
