Sports Coverage Opportunity: Sports Writer Wanted
In calendar year 2026, Barnesville Area News hopes to expand our local school sports coverage footprint. We’re looking for someone to continue featuring weekly Barnesville sports scores and expand details of varsity games with a minimum “Sports Roundup” of a couple of paragraphs on varsity games and/or Box Scores.
The ideal candidate would also write a feature on one varsity contest each week and an occasional general interest feature article.
In time, the goal is to expanded coverage to neighboring schools beginning with Union Local.
This is a part-time contract position.
