Monday afternoon, the Barnesville Water Department has issued a precautionary boil advisory due to emergency waterline repairs for all service connections on South Gardner Street from Hunts Avenue to Leatherwood, West Pike Street, and Leatherwood Pike, S. Gardner from Hunts to Leatherwood and any others experiencing a loss in pressure.

This boil advisory will remain in effect for 48 hours once water service is restored. Water should be vigorously boiled for at least one minute prior to human consumption or dental hygiene use. Residents may also notice discoloration and should be cautious with laundry.
