Shamrock Athletic Contests Dec. 26-Jan. 3

Third Grade Girls Basketball

At the Southeast Youth League Tournament at Cambridge, Barnesville’s Third Grade Girls came in Runner Up in the league tournament while John Glenn captured the crown.

At the Queen of the Hill Tournament that takes place each year at East Liverpool, three Barnesville wrestlers placed in their respective weight classes.

Varsity Wrestling

Two members of the varsity wrestling team placed at the two-day Brecksville Holiday Invitational. They are

Hines Ford – 4th Place, 175 lb. weight class   

Christien Hannahs – 7th Place, 215 lb. weight class

BHS’s Liv McCrate was the 2025 Brooke High School Winter Invitational Girls High Point Winner Tuesday. She placed 1st in the 200IM and 100 Breast.

Eleven schools participated in the contests.  

Overall, Barnesville came in 5th with 73.5 points. John Marshall was the overall winner with 184 points.

Barnesville’s Girls logged 35.5 points for a 6th Place position.

The Boys claimed 4th Place with 38 Points.
