Barnesville Kiwanis Club Announces School Clothing/Shoes Fundraiser

The Barnesville Kiwanis Club is holding a fundraiser to help support the club’s Coats and Shoes for Kids project. Teachers in our schools identify students who could use a hand with a new coat or pair of shoes, and we provide them with the needed items and even some extras to ensure they have gifts on Christmas.

The fundraiser is called Ornaments Walk Certificate. Our club will sell 144 certificates for $10 each to raise $1,440 for the project.

We are asking area merchants to participate and join us in this fundraiser. Participating businesses would purchase 144 ornaments (one gross) at their expense. We suggest you spend approximately $1 per ornament. Buying a gross could save some money, depending on where you purchase the ornament.

Starting with Christmas in the ‘Ville 2024 and continuing through the holiday season, anyone who purchases a certificate can go to participating businesses and pick up an ornament at each. This will bring people to your business who may purchase something that day or see something they like and come back and buy from you later. It also promotes goodwill for your business by giving ornaments and supporting your area Kiwanis Club. Other Kiwanis Clubs have done this fundraiser, and it has been a great success!
