Thomas James Simpson

Thomas James Simpson, 73, of Barnesville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, in Southeastern Medical Center. He was born on March 31, 1952, in Martins Ferry the only child of the late Arthur “Bud” and Dorothy “Dot” (Crump) Simpson. Tom was Methodist by faith, enjoyed fishing, fishing trips, boating, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by a daughter, Megan (John Puente-Duany) Simpson; a son, T.J. Simpson; two grandchildren, Silas Simpson, and Maizy Puente-Duany; and a special person, Linda Simpson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
