January 16, 2026
9:59 am — E High St, Flushing. A tool bag fell off the caller’s truck. When they went back for it, someone had taken it. Deputies responded and took information for a report.
11:14 am — Rock River Rd, Jerusalem. A deputy did a welfare check. The person was okay and denied medical help.
11:36 am — Mile Marker 202, Eastbound Interstate 70. A deputy made a traffic stop and issued a warning.
12:16 pm — Belmont. Deputies went to the address to investigate and follow up on a situation.
3:27 pm — Leatherwood Rd, Barnesville. A deputy responded to a call regarding protection orders. They advised that it would be a civil issue.
January 17, 2026
1:06 pm — National Rd, Morristown. A deputy investigated a 911 hang-up call. The person explained that they thought that they were possibly experiencing issues with the landline.
2:35 pm — McMillen Rd, Bethesda. A caller wanted to advise law enforcement that they were receiving scam calls requesting money.
5:22 pm — Love’s, Belmont. A caller requested a welfare check on a semi truck driver who had not been in contact for over 24 hours. The deputy was unable to locate a semi truck matching the description. The caller was able to make contact, and everything was okay.
11:09 pm — Morristown Flushing Rd, Belmont. A caller requested a welfare check on a person who they believe was with a person who could harm them. Deputies made no contact at the residence. A deputy made contact with the person, and they were out of town and safe.
January 18, 2026
4:03 pm — Redstone Rd, Jacobsburg. The caller advised that a domestic argument was occurring at the address. The deputies found that nothing was physical and no threats were made.
8:48 pm — Barnesville Hendrysburg Rd, Barnesville. The Ohio State Patrol received a call about a disabled car at the gas station, with a female and three kids waiting for help. The help was five hours away. Deputies checked on them and gave the family a ride to Love’s.
January 19, 2026
11:32 am — Goshen Township. Deputies went to the address to take a report about missing/stolen cats.
3:59 pm — Washington Township. The caller told the deputy that her family was not letting them have their things, not letting them eat, and making threats. The deputy advised that the matter was civil, not criminal.
January 20, 2026
12:54 am — Belmont Morristown Rd, Morristown. A deputy initiated a traffic stop for a stop sign violation and a turn signal violation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was dispatched and on the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol took over the investigation and had the male in custody. The vehicle was secured in the lot at the driver’s request.
8:23 am — Pilot, Belmont. The caller advised that a large amount of smoke was coming from a pickup truck’s tailpipe. A deputy responded and determined everything was okay.
9:03 am — Union Local High School, Belmont. A deputy was stationed in the school zone to monitor traffic.
6:22 pm — Belmont-Morristown Rd, Belmont. The caller stated that people in dark clothing were hanging out in the business’s parking lot. Deputies patrolled the area and made no contact.
11:41 pm — Pilot, Belmont. There was a two-vehicle accident, and a crash report was created by the responding deputy.
