Area School Sports Fundraisers

Beallsville School will host youth Basketball games on Saturday, January 25 starting at 8:30 in the morning and continuing until 7:00 in the evening. The event will include a raffle, bake sale and collecting donations to support a 4th grade Beallsville student that was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, Jaxton Palmer is a member of the Beallsville 3/4 Boys Basketball team. These proceeds will assist the family pay for travel and medical expenses for trips to Morgantown five days weekly over a five week period.
Update: Organizers raised $4,819 for Jaxton’s expenses during the event.
Barnesville Jr. High Raffle
Barnesville Junior High boys’ and girls’ basketball team members are currently selling raffle tickets for the Alan Craker memorial scholarship fund.
The winning ticket holder will wiln four tickets for the Portland Trail Blazers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game, Sunday, March 2, that has a cash value of $900. The winning ticket will be drawn on January 28. Tickets are $20 each. Members of both teams are selling the tickets. Make checks payable to the Barnesville Community Foundation.
BHS Cheerleaders Nationals Trip
