Two Shamrock Swimmers Compete at State

CANTON – Thursday, two ‘Rocks swimmers, sophomore Liv McCrate and junior Antoni Scheurle, posted respectable times in the three State Meet contests in Division II. The meet took place in Canton.

McCrate placed 21st in the 100-yard Breaststroke contest.

In the 200-yard Individual Medley, McCrate broke her personal and school record at 2:17.52. She came in 26^th in the meet, moving up from a 32^nd place ranking prior to the contest.   

Scheurle’s time placed him 30^th in the prelims for the 100-yard Breaststroke.

Prior to participating in the District and State contests, the boys claimed the OVAC 1A-3A championship title and the girls placed second in the OVAC.
