Shamrock Sports Honors
As the winter sports season winds down, Barnesville High School athletes are honored and selected to participate in all-star contests.
Girl’s Varsity Basketball team members Aiva Leasure and Lydia Welch were named this week to the Buckeye 8 Girls 1st Team.
Antoni Schuerle was named 2026 OVAC 1A-3A Boys Swimmer of the Year. During the season, Schuerle broke several personal and school records. Along with Liv McCrate, he competed in the State Swim Meet at Canton last weekend.
Junior BHS Wrestler Christien Hannahs was selected as one of two Times Leader Athletes of the Week that was featured in the Thursday print edition.
Three BHS bowlers, Payton Bell, Colton Hall and Keegan Martin participated in the OVAC All-Star Bowling match Saturday at St. Clair Lanes.
