America 250 – Murals Across Ohio
COLUMBUS – An online list of murals located throughout the state is part of the America 250 Celebration in the State of Ohio. The Murals Across Ohio is showcasing local stories, the artists and communities that make Ohio unique. The online database and map now feature over 400 murals around the state.
Each online mural profile includes a photo of the mural and a brief description about the creation and importance of the murual.
Two local murals are part of the current collection.
Welcome to Barnesville-Where History Meets Progress

Location: 202 N Chestnut St, Barnesville (Barnesville Antique Mall)
“Created by Scott Hagan and designed by Luke Johnson, this Barnesville mural uses graffiti spray paint on the Antique Mall’s wall to welcome visitors with bold color and community pride”, the online account notes.
From Hendrysburg to Hollywood
Artist: Sue Dodd
Location: 122 Southgate Parkway, Cambridge
“From Hendrysburg to Hollywood mural was painted by local artist Sue Dodd in 2009 on what was at the time, the Longinie building, 122 Southgate Parkway and Turner Avenue. The mural depicts the rise to fame of hometown boy, William Boyd, who portrayed the beloved cowboy, Hopalong Cassidy,” the account states.
