Robert F. Messenger

Robert F. Messenger, 75, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, March 9, 2025 at WVU Wheeling Hospital. He was born on March 25, 1950 in Barnesville to the late Frank and Helen (Bahmer) Messenger.

Bob was a graduate of Barnesville High School. He was a self employed truck driver for many years and was also in the Teamsters Union. He was a very skilled dozer operator and ran heavy equipment for Cravat Coal. He had a huge heart for his granddogs, Sammy, Gizmo, Karma, and Harli.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Craig) Carpenter and Meleah Messenger; grandsons, Hunter Carpenter and Tanner Messenger; sister, Linda (Wayne) Jenewein.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 4-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00am with Trenton Hall officiating.
