Helen M. Temple

Helen M. Temple, 89, of Hendrysburg passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at her home. She was born on September 13, 1936 in Sewellsville, Ohio to the late Oscar and Golda (Sivard) Stephens. 

Helen was a 1954 graduate of Barnesville High School where she graduated with Hank. Helen was a homemaker and a member of the Sewellsville United Methodist Church. She was born and raised in Sewellsville.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by brothers, Earl (June) Stephens and Paul (Thomasine) Stephens; and aunt, Jessie Taylor.

Helen is survived by her husband George F. “Hank” Temple; son, Lee (Cathy) Bohandy; daughter, Lynne Bohandy; granddaughter, Brianna Bohandy; step-children, Pamela Temple, Nancy Jo Temple, Richard Temple, and Ronald Temple; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; special cousin, Marvin Stephens; several nieces & nephews; and best friend and neighbor, Beverly Lawton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 11am until the time of the service at 12pm with Rev. Steve Smith officiating at Sewellsville United Methodist Church, 69049 Hendrysburg Freeport Road, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Sewellsville Methodist Cemetery. Care is entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
