Jets Cheerleaders Claim First OVAC Title, Win at Nationals

Update: The Union Local Cheer Team competed in the 2025 National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL over the weekend of February 8-9. The Jets came in second in Varsity Non Building Division II just behind Green High School.

The Union Local Lady Jets claimed the OVAC  3A crown during the competition Saturday. The squad was welcomed back to the Jets Hanger that night. The win was the Jets’ first OVAC win  in the school’s hist ory.

There were seven squads competing for the crown. Barnesville came in second followed by Wheeling Central and Linsly. Other schools participating in the division were Bellaire, Martins Ferry and Fort Frye.
