Betts and Ralston Place at State Wrestling Contests
At state tournament competition this past weekend Barnesville Middle School athletes Hadley Betts came in 4th in girls’ competition in the 116-pound weight class and Jacob Ralston took 8th place in the boys’ 114-pound division.
According to a post on the Barnesville Middle School social media Facebook page, four other students also competed in state contests. They are: Casin Mayo, Carter Abbott, Gabe Kovalick and Axel Wright who competed as a 5th grade Ohio Athletic Conference wrestler. The tournament took place at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown.

On the Freshman side, Barnesville Shamrock Athletics reports Freshman wrestlers who attended Ohio Athletic Conference Freshman State Wrestling Tournament placed as follows.
115 – Mac Boroski 1-2
115 – Hoyt Hartshorn 3-2 – 5th Place
122 – Jaxon Aberegg 4-0 – 1st Place
134 – Ryder King 2-2
140 – Bentley Stephen 3-2 – 4th Place
152 – Knoxx Mankin 2-2
287 – Zachary Foster 2-2
