Caldwell Claims Varsity Softball Win over Shamrocks

Tuesday, the Caldwell Redskins came out on top of the Lady Shamrocks in a  2-0 home field victory at Noble County.

Caldwell scored both runs in the bottom of the fourth following a Lexi Franklin walk and a Shamrock error.

Peyton Loudin started the game for Barnesville. She allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out two and walking two.  

Loudin, Ella Betts, and Aubrey Johnson each notched one hit for the ‘Rocks.

Redskins’ pitcher Makayla Mumaw gave up three hits over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking two.

Breighlee Moracco went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Caldwell in hits.

Other scheduled games for the Shamrocks this week are with Martins Ferry, Fort Frye, and Union Local.
