C. Mark Holt

C. Mark Holt, born on May 18, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest at home on January 28, 2025, in Barnesville, Ohio. He dedicated over 30 years of his career to Nationwide Insurance, where he forged lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Mark, affectionately known as “Pops” was a devoted husband to Michelle (Anderson) Holt for 30 unforgettable years. He cherished his time with his beloved children, Jackie Moffa (Lanny), Mark Holt, and stepchildren Rusty Anderson and Katelynn Rostofer (Kelin). His spirit will continue to shine through his grandson, Kayden Anderson, and his grandchildren including his one and only great-granddaughter, Layla Moffa. His family brought him immense joy and the need to buy many bottles of Tylenol thru the years.

In his free time, Mark enjoyed camping and boating at Seneca Lake, where he lived life to the fullest with family and friends. He had a mischievous side that brought laughter and light-hearted trouble and generally a hard time to those around him, proving to be the man you could count on, no matter the hour. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and blasting classic rock and country music, testing the limits of his speakers whenever he could.

Mark’s greatest pride came from being a loving husband, a pushover “Pops,” a caring son, fun uncle to his niece and nephews along with being a friend to his chosen few. He held a special bond with his in-laws Larry Anderson (Karen) and especially his sister and brother-in-law, Rick and Sherri Hickman aka best friends. He is survived by his mother, Judy Holt (Calvin); sister, Jodi Coplan (Joe); brother, Cory Holt; father-in-law, Larry Anderson (Karen); and sister-in-laws, Sherri Hickman (Rick) and Stacie Jett (Charlie).

Mark’s memory will forever be celebrated by those who knew and loved him. His legacy as an incredible husband and friend will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.

Care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help support the family with funeral costs.
