Shamrock Athlete Honors
Senior BHS basketball starter Ryker Willis was named to the ALL-OVAC 3A basketball team recently.
Freshman Ladyn Hines, who was the first Shamrock female to win a state title was honored by the Belmont County Commissioners at their April 8 weekly meeting. As a result, Hines was profiled in a segment of WTOV-TV 9 news and the Times Leader newspaper.
Varsity Baseball hurler Dylan Blon, who broke the winningest pitcher title for BHS at 16 this pasts weekend, was featured as one of two “Student Athletes of the Week” in the April 9 edition of the Times Leader.
