Central Retains OVAC Crown
CADIZ – The weather wasn’t the only thing “chilly” at Mazeroski Field at Sally Buffalo Park Friday evening. Wheeling Catholic Central repeated as the OVAC 3A champions. The win was the third in a row for the 3rd seed Maroon Knights as they overpowered the 1st seed Barnesville Shamrocks, 8-0.
Following Barnesville’s loss, the season record for the team stands at 14-4. The team returns to the field at Barnesville Memorial Park Monday evening against the visiting River Pilots.
