Undefeated Green Bronco Team Tops Martins Ferry 15-1
BARNESVILLE — The Barnesville Green Bronco team improved to 8-0 with a 15-1 victory against Martins Ferry Monday, June 1, at Barnesville Memorial Park.
Jaxson Humphrey and Austin Weiss pitched two innings each and combined for a no hitter with five strikeouts and two walks.
The Shamrocks tallied 18 hits on the evening led by Gavin Smith with three hits including a grand slam and six RBI’s. Teammates Anthony Welch and Braxton McCloud each had three hits.
Jaxson Humphrey, Austyn Weiss collected four RBI’s while marking up two hits each. Brogan Shilling, Colton Roe, Kason Keiger, Hank Jefferis and Colby Brown all contributed one hit to the box score.
