COLUMBUS — Barnesville High School’s Ladyn Hines placed 17th in the 2026 Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Jesse Owens Track & Field State Championships tournament.
The tournament took place on June 5 and finished on June 6. Participating in the Women’s Division 4 Pole Vault competition, the freshman tied senior Peyton Jones of Williamsburg High School.
Hines had a height of 2.74 meters, or roughly nine feet, when she performed. As a result, that concludes her 2026 season as part of Barnesville High School’s varsity girls track and field. The young freshman went above and beyond expectations this spring.
