Monday, June 1, 2026

1:33 am – investigating a complaint on High Street.

6:54 am – alarm drop on East Main Street. Basement door, all is secure.

9:19 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

9:45 am – traffic stop on East South Street.

10:42 am – female caller from Pine Lane reports receiving a scam call. The scam is about her winning money and cars. She also heard someone knocking on her door at 2:00 a.m. last week and her car was broken into.

10:58 am – caller asked if the police could give a patient a ride home. Dispatcher stated that the police could not.

12:34 pm – 911 reports a female on Warren Avenue called stating someone is in her house. Officer requested the EMS squad.

12:42 pm – investigating a complaint on East Church Street where a person is heard yelling and things being thrown about. One neighbor said they saw a female walk off. Officer had negative contact.

2:56 pm – 911 advised a BOLO (Be on the Look Out) for a utility truck. Officer followed the truck through town and reported the driver’s driving was fine.

6:03 pm – 911 called reporting receiving a call for a welfare check on South Broadway Street. The caller’s daughter is twenty-two years old. She reports hearing dogs inside the house. People are in the house and will not answer the door. Officer made contact with the person and she is fine.

6:14 pm – male states that his ex has posted his SSN and bank account numbers on Facebook. He is coming to the station to file a complaint.

8:57 pm – traffic stop on Fair Street. Warning issued for no turn signals.

9:19 pm – person reporting that red light is on at the sewerage lift station behind Plumly Townhomes.  

10:25 pm – traffic stop on Tacoma Road.

11:01 pm – officer on High Street for a stolen trailer.

Tuesday, June 2, 2026

1:37 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

2:59 am – officer on West Main Street for a walk through.

5:44 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

8:37 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

9:32 am – camper is at the house on High Street that was reported stolen the evening before. 

9:47 am – traffic stop on West Main Street.

11:44 am – caller reports there is a black Ford truck all over the road by the Commons Apartments (S. Lincoln).

12:32 pm – property damage on Carrie Avenue.

1:29 pm – caller from South Chestnut Street states the landlord stole his mother’s lawn chair before smashing it.

3:46 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

4:14 pm – investigating a complaint on Sycamore Street.

4:38 pm – traffic stop on North Arch Street.

4:45 pm –caller states that her son was digging a hole in their yard and found what looks like a contractor’s bag.

5:10 pm – call received from The State Highway Patrol regarding a BOLO – Be on the Lookout.

6:20 pm – 911 transferred a call related to a hang up call. Dispatcher called the facility to let them know we had received a hang up call. Employee will check on the residents.

6:49 pm – caller reports there is a hole in a tank at the water treatment plant. Water is squirting out. Water treatment plant personnel state they are waiting for a part to fix it.

6:52 pm – 911 transferred a call from a caller from High Street who reports a racoon  is stuck in the flashing of his house. Racoon has been removed from the house.

7:20 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Citation issued for speed.

8:04 pm – female caller states that there is a turtle in her back yard. Dispatcher talked to a wildlife officer, who recommended that they leave it alone.

8:27 pm – traffic stop on West Pike Street. Negative results on the search and a  female passed a field sobriety test.

9:54 pm – officer spoke to two juveniles about stopping at stop signs and the danger of not following rules while driving an e-bike.

11:28 pm – traffic stop on State Route 147 near Tacoma.

11:57 pm – traffic stop on Clifton Street. Warning issued for brake lights.

Wednesday, June 3, 2026

12:12 am – traffic stop on Gobblers Knob.

1:15 am – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue. Warning issued for marked lane violation.

3:52 am – special detail on West Main Street.

4:56 am – traffic stop on East Main Street. Warning issued for no headlights.

5:23 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

5:54 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.

6:21 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Warning issued for speed.

6:41 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

10:24 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

11:53 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

8:40 pm – caller from East Church Street regarding a female on her property. Caller knows the person through a friend.

9:08 pm – investigating a complaint on Pine Lane. Officer attempted to make contact with a person who left the hospital in St. Clairsville.

Thursday, June 4, 2026

6:28 am – caller on Warren Avenue reporting a barking dog.

9:04 am – The Ohio State Highway Patrol called about a disabled vehicle on Mt. Olivett Road. Officer had negative contact with the vehicle.

10:08 am – caller states a semi-truck is causing issues on South Gardner Street.

11:55 am – property damage accident on East Main Street.

1:21 pm – caller from High Street reporting someone possibly tried to break into the house last night. Person believes someone is stalking the house in a little green car with no plates.

2:00 pm – car parked in the middle of the turnaround at the Memorial Park lake. Parking ticket was issued.

2:02 pm – another female from High Street called in regards a previous log.

2:16 pm – traffic stop on Mulberry Street.

5:27 pm – traffic stop on West Church Street. Two juveniles on dirt bikes and now are pushing the bikes home.

7:39 pm – caller reports she is at the park lake and there is a Canadian Goose with a fishing line wrapped around its leg. Dispatcher gave her the phone number of the Wildlife Officer.

8:16 pm – caller reports that there is a child riding an e-bike in the roadway on West Main Street.

9:04 pm – male caller states that there is a boy on a dirt bike riding around the block making noise. Dispatcher shared with an officer.

10:09 pm – traffic stop on South Route 800 near the corporation limit.

11:59 pm – traffic stop on Wiley Avenue.

Friday, June 5, 2026

12:44 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

4:11 am – traffic stop on Fair Street.

5:54 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

8:44 am – male waved down an officer on North Chestnut Street.

10:01 am – traffic stop on West Church Street.

1:01 pm – caller from Mulberry Street reports his neighbor’s car was hit. The driver of the striking vehicle said he had a doctor’s appointment and left his phone number.

1:38 pm – officer at the Barnesville Hospital for a follow up in regards to the hit skip.

3:13 pm – vehicle lockout on East Main Street.

4:20 pm – traffic stop on Bethesda Street.

4:43 pm – caller informed police of a now complete repo (repossession of a vehicle) on South Lincoln Avenue.

4:59 pm – caller states her neighbor has been driving his gator in front of her garage causing property damage. Driver is threatening to beat up her husband.

5:32 pm – caller stating that a male resident has just left the facility making threats to steal a vehicle. Male is wearing shorts, a plaid button up shirt and ball cap. He has a backpack.

8:21 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Warning issued for no turn signal and no brake light.

8:51 pm – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

10:07 pm – traffic stop on Hunts Avenue. Consent to search granted but nothing was found. Warning issued for taillight.

10:51 pm – traffic stop on North State Route 800.

Saturday, June 6, 2026

12:43 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued for marked lanes.

5:54 am – suspicious vehicle is parked on the side of the road. Officer had negative contact with the driver.

8:54 am – caller wants someone to check out an address on Lincoln Avenue to see if a person is staying there. Officer checked the address and it does not exist.

1:38 pm – caller requested an officer to ride with an EMS squad from the Monroe/Belmont County line. Squad has a combative twenty-three old female who had a seizure. Officer will  follow the EMS squad from Fairyland to the hospital.

2:32 pm – USPS employee called in asking for a welfare check for a home on Carl Street. The owners have not collected mail for at least a week. Dispatcher called a few phone numbers but  they were all non-working numbers.

5:18 pm – caller states there are two cars parked illegally at the top of Bethesda Street. The cars have almost caused an accident. Cars are parked in a yellow no parking area. Officer reports the parking issue has been addressed.

5:22 pm – female caller from West South Street regarding a drunk male on her porch who will not leave. Officer made contact with the male who did leave the property yelling as he walked down the street.

6:16 pm – female caller states that there was a drunk man walking down her street yelling.

7:15 pm –caller reports a transformer behind the Church of Christ in on fire.

7:24 pm – caller states that during a storm water is flowing off of the back of a building on North Chestnut Street like a waterfall.

7:29 pm – fire department requesting to have a street blocked off because of downed power lines.

7:46 pm – female caller on South Chestnut Street reports a drunk person is screaming profanities. Officer reported negative contact with the person. Officer stated that the person is back and he told the person to go inside his home or be cited for public intoxication.

8:26 pm – officer chasing a crotch rocket motorcycle on Leatherwood. Officer reported the chase is called off.

8:28 pm – dispatcher called the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department to inform them of the motorcycle (crotch rocket) is heading in their direction.

8:49 pm – caller reports the pump station on Shamrock Drive is blinking red.

10:57 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

Sunday, June 7, 2026

1:03 am – person on West Main Street is yelling. Officer reported the male will be on his way.

3:37 am – female on South Gardner Street walking towards Quaker City. She said she can’t find a ride to take her home.

4:21 am – suspicious vehicle reported in the Riesbeck’s parking lot. The vehicle is a red Chevy.

4:47 am – checking on the vehicle at Riesbeck’s again. Male denies EMS squad because he is waiting for friends to wake up. Officer advised male to get plates to avoid future citation.

5:24 am – traffic stop. Warning issued for marked lanes.

6:00 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue. Negative findings on search of the vehicle.

9:48 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

10:37 am – traffic stop on Oak Lane.

12:44 pm – traffic stop on South Gardner Street.

4:06 pm – welfare check on Carl Street.

6:24 pm – caller states she found a baby hawk on Stumptown Road. She would like to give it to a Wildlife Officer.

8:01 pm – vehicle lockout on North Lincoln Avenue.

8:23 pm – caller reports that a building on South Street has a garage door open.

11:21 pm – call from the Game Warden reporting someone should be at the station to retrieve the baby hawk.
