Monday, June 8, 2026

4:46 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue. Warning issued for brake lights.

5:13 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

6:00 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

7:36 am – caller reports a dog is running loose on Franklin Street. The dog  was returned to the owner.

10:35 am – injured bird will be taken for an assessment by a vet. The bird will be taken to Oglebay for rehabilitation.

12:51 pm – female caller report there is a dog in a car at the Save A Lot parking lot. The windows of the vehicle are cracked but the dog is whining and barking.

12:52 pm – male on station with a complaint about a neighbor’s open burning.

6:32 pm – caller reports a racoon on North Lincoln Avenue looks sick. Officer reported that the racoon was gone when he arrived.

8:12 pm – vehicle lockout on Morgantown Avenue.

9:10 pm – person asking for a welfare check on Pine Lane.

11:03 pm – welfare check on North Street. Son has been trying to call mother, but it is busy. He has not any contact with her for a couple of days. Officer reports she is okay.

11:15 pm – welfare check on Mackey Drive.

11:20 pm – report of kids at the playground by the Memorial Park swimming pool vaping. They are also trying to lift benches.

Tuesday, June 9, 2026

4:58 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

6:16 am – report of a tree down blocking Fairmont Avenue.

6:38 am – traffic stop on North Arch Street.

11:55 am – caller states her father-in-law is having a mental crisis and wants to know how to get him help.

12:04 pm – officer on Ohio Street in regards to a male in a mental health crisis.

12:45 pm – male fell and was taken to the hospital by the EMS squad. Officer took him home after he was discharged by the hospital.

4:48 pm – male on station speaking to an officer.

5:10 pm – follow up investigation on Dorsey Avenue regarding a previous log.

5:24 pm – homeowner on Dorsey Avenue wants to know what to do if people show up at the house.

6:19 pm – 911 called in regards to a hang up call. Dispatcher contacted the nurse at the facility.  They will check it out.

Wednesday, June 10, 2026

5:19 am – open door on Shamrock Drive. Officer reported that the building is clear and the door is now locked.

8:36 am – caller from East Main Street regarding a red truck blocking the parking lot. Staff can’t access the lot.

11:57 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

3:47 pm – caller states that she came out of work today her back car window was broken out.

4:11 pm – disabled vehicle on Bond Avenue. Semi-truck on the hill on State Route 800 North.

4:56 pm – vehicle lockout on North Street.

8:26 pm – traffic stop on Pine Lane. Warning issued for brake lights.

9:03 pm – traffic stop on Fowler Street.

9:41 pm – disabled vehicle on Railroad Street.

10:23 pm – traffic stop on South Broadway Street.

10:37 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

Thursday, June 11, 2026

4:36 pm – three people on station reporting their car was struck by a tree on State Route 379. Dispatcher notified The State Highway Patrol.

5:25 pm – report of a couple of young children walked past a white trailer parked along the road on North Chestnut Street. It was reported the trailer was shaking like someone may be stuck and trying to get out. Officer reported no one was stuck.

8:16 pm – traffic stop on South Gardner Street.

9:19 pm – traffic stop on Vine Street. Warning for headlights.

9:51 pm – officer on Morgantown Avenue to serve a warrant. Officer had negative contact.

11:02 pm – traffic stop on West Main Street.

11:13 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

11:21 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

Friday, June 12, 2026

1:03 am – 911 reported a hang up call. Officer reported everything is okay.

1:19 am – business check on West Main Street.

2:35 am – repossessed vehicle on Muskrat Road.

3:36 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.

4:01 am – traffic stop on North Arch Street.

4:04 am – traffic stop on Route 800 at the Moose ballfield. Warning issued for marked lanes.

4:30 am – traffic stop on West Main Street.

6:17 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

7:46 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

10:33 am – male caller states there is a hit deer on the roadway of Main Street/Chestnut.

10:36 am – female caller reports the deer was hit and when approached, it ran off.

1:55 pm – vehicle lockout on West Church Street.

2:01 pm – request for extra patrols at Church Street.

5:14 pm – caller reports a red truck on East Main Street with a possible drunk driver. Officer reported negative contact.

5:38 pm – female on station reporting her ex-boyfriend posted explicit photos of her online. He is also stalking her house.

6:06 pm – person on station to pick up an accident report.

9:24 pm – person called regarding unruly coaches at a game at Memorial Park. Caller requested an officer.

Saturday, June 13, 2026

9:12 am – vehicle lockout on Washington Street.

10:11 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued for speed.

10:24 am – The State Highway Patrol reported a gray SUV tailgating the Monroe County EMS squad. Officer made contact with SUV and witnessed no traffic infractions.

1:19 pm – caller from Hilles Avenue reports he and his neighbor have a dispute over an apple tree that he had cut back without their permission. Officer advised that this is a civil matter.

6:54 pm – children found a wallet.

9:04 pm – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

11:33 pm – officer investigating a complaint on South Chestnut Street.

Sunday, June 14, 2026

3:01 am – follow up complaint on South Chestnut Street.

5:33 am – investigate a complaint on West Main Street. Officer reported having negative contact.

8:10 am –caller asked to speak to an officer regarding an incident that occurred earlier.

8:11 am – 911 hang up call from Franklin Street. Officer made contact with a female. She said she was asleep and everything is fine.

10:06 am – follow up on Fair Street.

10:55 am – person on station to pick up credit card holder and ID that was found on North Chestnut Street.

12:48 pm – caller states his wife has just backed into another vehicle in the Convenient parking lot.

2:01 pm – report of three goats loose on Railroad Street.

5:08 pm – vehicle lockout on Walton Avenue. Officer reported the vehicle was already unlocked.

6:22 pm – caller reports the bulk water machine took their quarters.

7:46 pm – Two persons on North Broadway Street screaming at each other arguing about drugs.  Officer requested the K9 unit and obtained consent to search. Pills found included a small white one that came back as roxicet and a second pill was amoxicillin.
