Barnesville Green Bronco Advance To Semifinal Contest
The Barnesville Green Bronco team improved its record to 16-0 with a 12-2 playoff win over Martins Ferry Monday. The team now advances to Saturday’s league semifinal game against Moundsville.
Picking up the pitching win was Brogan Shilling who pitched three scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and zero walks. Austyn Weiss threw the final two innings with five strikeouts and two walks.
Offensively, Shilling and teammate Jaxson Humphrey led the way with three hits each.
Colton Roe had two hits while Kason Keiger, Hank Jefferis, Austyn Weiss, Anthony Welch, Gavin Smith, Braxton McCloud (Homerun) and Jase Hendershot each had one hit.
