Barnesville Green Bronco advance to championship game against the Glendale Rebels
BARNESVILLE — The Barnesville Green Bronco team won its semifinal matchup against Moundsville in a 12-2 effort. They now are 17-0 on the season, and advance to the championship game against the Glendale Rebels.
That game is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, June 23 at 6 p.m. in Moundsville. Kason Keiger was the winning pitcher for the Shamrocks while being on the mound for four innings. He allowed only two runs on two hits and struck out nine batters without a single walk.
Relief pitcher Brogan Shilling had a good performance as well. He threw a scoreless fifth inning that included three strikeouts and zero walks.
Keiger also led the way on the offensive side as well. He led his team with three hits and four RBI’s. Complimenting him was teammate Colton Roe who had three hits.
Shilling, Jaxson Humphrey and Braxton McCloud each collected two hits. Hank Jefferis, Gavin Smith and Colby Brown each contributed with one hit.
