WHEELING – The Underground Railroad Museum – Ohio Valley was awarded the 2026 Ohio Valley Civil War Round Table’s Excellence in Historic Preservation during West Virginia Day celebrations and festivities that took place at the West Virginia Independence Hall, 1528 Market Street, Wheeling, on Saturday, June 20.

The Underground Railroad Museum, currently located in Flushing, will move to the Black Horse Inn located in Morristown this fall. The building is currently undergoing renovations thanks to major funding from the State of Ohio’s Appalachian Grant program.
