Union Local Teams, Wrestlers Advance

The Union Local Lady Jets claimed their first District Crown as they defeated Martins Ferry 60-43 at the ECO Center, St. Clairsville, Saturday, February 22. The Division V Eastern District Champions will travel to Logan Wednesday, February 26 to taken on the Minford Falcons who defeated Wheelersburg 51-34 on Saturday.

UL Boys Basketball

Union Local scored 67 points to Sandy Valley’s 55 at the Hanger this week to move on. The Jets advance to the District Semi-Finals to take on Martins Ferry at the ECO Center, St. Clairsville, Wednesday, February 26. Tip-off is at 6:00.

Martins Ferry beat Morgan High to advance to the semis.

UL Wrestlers

In Sectional competition at Barnesville Saturday, the Union Local wrestlers came in fourth overall.

106- Max Dubiel 3rd

120- Gavin Bolock 2nd

126- Gamble Gossett 2nd

138- Calvin Robbins 6th

144- Gunnar Gossett 1st

175- Brody Perzanowski 1st

190- Kolten Clark 6th

215- Brady Hunt 5th

Dubiel, Bolock, Gavin Gossett, Gunner Gossett and Hunt (Alt) move on to the district tournament next week at Coshocton.
