Monday, June 22, 2026

9:50 am – anonymous caller reported a person is using cocaine every weekend.

1:11 pm – caller from Wiley Avenue reporting a person is behind their house. No trespassing signs are posted and the owner wants the person to leave. Officer did not find anybody present.

2:20 pm – person on station to file a complaint report about a hit/skip accident at the Chestnut Package Store.

2:50 pm – traffic stop on East Church Street.

2:59 pm – caller asked about a lost wallet. Dispatcher reported no wallet was turned in at the station.

4:10 pm – caller reports a tire is in the middle of the road on E. Main by Belmont Savings Bank.

4:45 pm – caller from a South Lincoln Avenue facility reports a male was dropped off and he refused treatment. He signed himself out. He is sitting on the picnic benches in the parking lot.

5:29 pm – caller from South Lincoln Avenue regarding the previous log. The male is back, sitting on the benches with a case of beer in hand. Male is on his way again.

5:37 pm – employee called advised that a male who left the rehab center is refusing to leave the property. Male is drinking and intoxicated.

6:43 pm – emergency medical on South Chestnut Street.

7:11 pm – caller from South Chestnut Street reports an intoxicated male near Village Hardware. Male seems to be in and out of consciousness. Officer checked on male and that he is the same from previous logs. Officer reports the male is okay.

7:50 pm – report of a two-car vehicle accident on West Main Street at the intersection of West Highland Avenue. Dispatcher said the accident was outside of the corporation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was contacted.  

9:06 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

Tuesday, June 23, 2026

5:46 am – traffic stop on State Route 147 East.

8:19 am – intoxicated male on South Chestnut Street. Alcohol was dumped.

9:44 am – officers talked to juveniles about E-Bike safety.

9:45 am – caller from West Main Street needs assistance with a patient that has been pinked slipped.

10:14 am – female caller reports she is looking for a runaway Beagle.

10:19 am – officer giving a male a ride to the gas station on State Route 800 north.

10:33 am – investigation complaint on Mackey Drive, drugs were found during the inspection.

12:29 pm – caller from West Main Street requesting assistance for a patient who was pinked slipped. The patient is behaving erratically.

 12:50 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Warning issued for speed.

1:35 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

1:34 pm – investigating a complaint on West Main Street. Female that was pink slipped left the facility is running down the alley near Westview Drive. Officer reports the female is in custody and returned to the hospital.

2:40 pm – traffic stop on Wiley Avenue. Truck could not make the turn and hit the stop sign.

3:21 pm – person called regarding the hit/skip accident at the Chestnut Package Store lot. The man who hit the car texted offering to pay for the damages rather than report it to the insurance company.

4:36 pm – traffic stop on State Route 800 North.

7:28 pm – caller from East Main Street reports a man mowing hit a rock that broke her window.

Wednesday, June 24, 2026

8:07 am – person called regarding a ticket received in the mail that cannot be read.

12:59 pm – traffic stop on Mulberry Street. Warning issued for speed and stop sign violation.

1:10 pm – person on station reporting a plumber was supposed to finish the job at her home on June 27.

1:13 pm – call received regarding the hit/skip accident. Caller states that the driver of the vehicle that struck his wife’s car is going to reach out to the police department.

2:37 pm – female on station regarding a stolen I-Pad. She completed a complaint form.

5:19 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

5:36 pm – caller requested to talk to an officer regarding being blamed for an accident. A person took photos and posted them on Facebook. Dispatcher reports there are no reports of an accident happening today.

7:48 pm – follow up investigation on Mackey Drive.

10:12 pm – officer on South Lincoln Avenue for a noise complaint of a neighbor playing loud music. Officer did not hear any loud music.

Thursday, June 25, 2026

9:28 am – disabled vehicle on East Main Street.

9:51 am – traffic stop on Mulberry Street near J Mo’s Meats. Warning issued for speed.

10:39 am – traffic stop on West Main Street.

11:07 am – officer checking on a Chevy truck. Officer reports all is well.

11:47 am – officer on Railroad Street with juveniles that did not stop at a stop sign. Officer educated them on the laws and how to make better choices.

11:58 am – caller reports there are two females on E-Bikes riding in their lot. The caller is afraid they are going to be hit by a car in the drive thru.

12:04 pm – officer on Cherry Street talking to juveniles on E-Bikes regarding safety.

1:18 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street near McDonalds.

2:04 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

2:56 pm – traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue.

6:56 pm – officer attempted to serve a warrant on Morgantown Avenue. Officer had negative contact.

7:17 pm – male on station reporting his firearm was stolen from his vehicle.

10:15 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street near the Dairy Queen.

10:24 pm – traffic stop on Ohio Street.

11:29 pm – traffic stop on State Route 800 North.

Friday, June 26, 2026

4:32 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

4:55 am – traffic stop on Bailey Road.

9:17 am – traffic stop on West Main Street.

10:23 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning for a stop sign violation.

11:42 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued for speed.

2:48 pm – male caller reports there is a mowing company that blocks Dorsey Avenue every week. He asked the mowers not to park there but they continue to do so.

5:15 pm – male on station regarding a hit/skip.

9:13 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

Saturday, June 27, 2026

1:26 am – caller reporting that she picked up a female on Hillis Avenue who was involved in a side-by-side accident. The patient is unresponsive. Caller is five minutes out enroute to the hospital.

3:08 am – caller from Pfeffer Road, Somerset Township regarding a domestic situation.

4:27 am – door alarm drop on East Main Street. Officer reports the building is clear with no contact with anyone.

8:27 am – alarm drop on East Main Street. There is no way the officer can lock the door. The officer will do extra patrols in the area.

10:41 am – traffic stop on Watt Avenue.

11:51 am – traffic stop on East Walnut Street.

12:13 pm – male caller reports his belongings are on the porch of the residence he has been living in since August, 2025. He wants to know what he can do about this situation.

4:23 pm – a psych patient in the Barnesville Hospital Emergency Room is causing problems. Patient is pink slipped threating to leave.

5:14 pm – report of an accident at J Mo’s on Mulberry Street. No report of injuries.

9:38 pm – caller asking if we are aware that there is an ordinance about letting off fireworks in the corporation limit. Dispatcher advised that by state law, individuals are allowed to set off fireworks the weekend before and the weekend after July 4. Caller kept yelling at the dispatcher about the situation. Caller states that he is going to call the Governor’s office. Officer checked the area. The fireworks are being let off outside of the village corporation limit.

10:12 pm – caller requested a welfare check on a one-year-old asking he be removed from a residence on Barker Road Somerset Township. Dispatcher advised the caller needs to contact the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department.

Sunday, June 28, 2026

12:59 am – caller reports a party on Bond Avenue with a lot of noise. Officer contacted the minor’s mother. She will pick him up. Officer didn’t witness any underage drinking and there was no noise upon arrival at the residence. Officer also reported all the lights were off inside the house.

3:53 am – alarm drop on East Main Street. Officer reported all doors are locked and building is secure.

8:22 am – officer on Bond Avenue investigating a noise complaint. Officer spoke with the homeowner who didn’t hear any noise.

12:11 pm – male caller states that there is a reckless driver on Shamrock Drive.

1:32 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued for speed.

2:03 pm – male on station regarding a hit/skip in the parking lot of the Aire Beauty on June 27. Officer will contact Aire Beauty and see if video tapes can be reviewed.

3:58 pm – alarm drop on South Chestnut Street. ADT has an incorrect address. Officer reported all clear.

3:53 pm – caller reports a truck parked in the alley and people are going through her yard to get around it. Caller called back and said the truck was moved.

9:36 pm – truck on South Chestnut Street is having mechanical issues.
