Barnesville Street Closure, July 20-24
The Barnesville Street Department will replace a culvert on West Main Street between Broadway Street and Gardner Street during the week of Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24.
The work is weather dependent, so the exact date of the road closure has not been determined. West Main Street will be closed to through traffic when the culvert replacement is underway.
The village will share an update as soon as the exact day is confirmed. Check the village’s Facebook page for details.

Advertisement for Bids – Village of Barnesville
The Village of Barnesville is seeking sealed bids for providing all materials, labor and equipment for the rehabilitation of two Mid Atlantic 250,000 gallon Clear Well Water Storage Tanks.
Bids will be received until 10 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the office of Village Administrator Roger A. Deal, Village of Barnesville, 126 East Church Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713, when they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Copies of the information for bidders may be obtained at the office listed above or by contacting the Village Administrator at 740-425-1880.
All work performed shall be in accordance with all State and Federal laws. The Village of Barnesville reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any and all bids.

AT&T Files to Discontinue Basic Local Exchange Service (BLES) for Several Telephone Exchanges
AT&T Ohio (AT & T) has filed with the Federal Communications Commission to discontinue Basic Local Exchange Service (BLES) to existing business and residential customers in several Ohio telephone exchanges. In this area, service would be discontinued in Bethesda, Bellaire and Clarington.
