The Lafferty Moose Lodge #1462 feted the ladies’ varsity basketball team to Honey Baked Ham before their trip to Logan High School this week to take on Minford in regional play.  

UL Girls Basketball: In Regional play this week, it was Minford – 47, Union Local – 31.

UL Boys Basketball:  At The ECO Center, for the District Semi-Final, it was Martins Ferry –

58, Union Local – 48

Wrestler’s Compete at District

Team: 6th Place

144- Gunnar Gossett 1st

175- Brody Perzanowski 2nd

Both wrestlers will compete in Columbus next weekend in the State Tournament.

Other wrestlers participating in District competition at Coshocton on Saturday were Gamble Gossett, Max Dubiel and Gavin Bolock. Alternate was Brady Hunt.

UL Sports Honors

Union Local Boys Varsity Basketball players named to District 12 Awards are:

First Team – Dre Saunders and Billy Schumacher

Seconded Team – Brandon Mehl

Honorable Mention – Brody Gregor

Saunders was selected to represent the Jets in the District All Star game.

Jets Wrestlers participating in District competition at Coshocton on Saturday are Gamble Gossett, Gunnar Gossett, Brody Perzanowski, Max Dubiel and Gavin Bolock. Alternate is Brady Hunt.  Results will be posted following the competition.
