Marvin Neal Stephens

Marvin Neal Stephens, 87, of Sewellsville, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026 at his home. Marvin was born on September 11, 1938 in St. Clairsville, Ohio to the late George L. and Ida Faye (Evans) Stephens.

Marvin was a 1956 graduate of Barnesville High School. He was a bricklayer for over 50 years and worked alongside Terry Hager. He was a member of the Brick Layers Local Union in Bellaire, Ohio and the American Legion in Barnesville. Each morning you could find him at McDonalds drinking his morning tea, with his friends. Marvin and Dorothy traveled all over to watch their grandsons ball games.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy on March 17, 2021; and his three brothers, Gilbert W. Stephens, Harold G. Stephens, and Curtis L. Stephens.

Marvin is survived by his daughter, Sharla (Ted) Everman of Galloway, Ohio; and grandchildren, Quentin (Emily) Everman and Jackson (Cheray) Lillard-Everman; one great-grandson, Grayson; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 3:00pm at Sewellsville Cemetery with Reverend Steve Smith and Reverend Tom Detling officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
